The Way
Jesus started a revolutionary multiplying movement that was originally known as “The Way”. It’s headquarters was not in a temple or a church building but in every home and family where people gathered to pray, share food, obey Jesus and spread the movement further.
Somehow we have lost “The Way” and turned “Christianity” into a spectator sport that happens once a week. Contact us to find out more about the work we are doing

You make it sound so easy, Ben! I think homes are harder to go to than cafes, pubs, workplaces, etc. It’s the lifestyle (of following Jesus), I think, which is the attraction in what you are saying. What is the Holy Spirit saying? Where are the places we hang out more? Where can we engage with others? Where can we sustain that sort of closeness?

Hi Geoff. Thanks for the comment. Jesus’ burden is light and easy isn’t it? We’re the ones who make it hard. Seriously though – after over 10 years of pursuing the vision God has given us we’ve still only scratched the surface. God is pouring out His Spirit so abundantly and His harvest is to ridiculously ready. Sadly we – the workers – are so few and so slow to learn. Don’t think or theorize about where it is easier to gather people. Follow the Spirit and fast and pray and see where God leads you. We have too many open homes now here in Somerset. But it wasn’t like that at the start! It’s taken many sleepless nights of prayer, many hours feeding on the word and much learning from mistakes and attitudes that don’t produce any fruit. Hear and obey! Praying for you all there. Ben

Thank you, Ben. It is probably more of the latter that needs to happen: prayer & fasting & sleepless nights & the word & listening to Holy Spirit. There seems to be a reluctance in our (my!) understanding to come to that place of humility & trust in Jesus. I guess in our world, things come easily & instantly. But in saying that, our team has been growing quickly. I’ve never seen it like this before. God is doing some amazing things. One minute I say: we need women out with us. Then four women show up. We’ve got training going on this coming week when I get home from a break with family. There is much to give thanks for.
